Product Overview

Spordex Spore Suspensions contain bacterial spores in an aqueous solution. They are manufactured to meet ISO 11138-1 and contain no extraneous contamination that could affect performance. A Certificate of Analysis stating population and D-value is furnished with each lot. The suspension is available with spores of Bacillus atrophaeus (BA, formerly Bacillus subtilis) for ethylene oxide (EO) gas and dry heat cycles, or Geobacillus stearothermophilus (GS) for saturated steam or hydrogen peroxide vapor cycles. Spordex Spore Suspension is available in 10 ml vials (approximately 100 product inoculations), each furnished in an easy-to-use kit including a 1.0 ml disposable sterile dispenser.

HOW SPORDEX SPORE SUSPENSIONS WORK

Spordex Spore Suspensions allow for the direct inoculation of products prior to sterilization. After the sterilization cycle is complete, samples should be transferred aseptically to media and incubated.

WHY SPORDEX SPORE SUSPENSIONS?

  • Easy to Validate - Single species bacterial spores with varying populations from E3 to E9 provide flexibility in designing sterility validations.
  • Productivity - Suspension can be used to inoculate small carriers, liquids, or location that cannot accommodate strips or discs.
  • Reliability - Lot number, organism, and expiration printed on each vial.
  • Ease of Use - Convenient kit allows for easy inoculations.
  • Flexibility - Custom suspensions with defined populations or D-value ranges are available.
