STERIS Adds Disinfectant Claim Using ProKlenz™ TWO Detergent

STERIS announces the addition of EPA disinfection claims in the United States for ProKlenz™ TWO High Performance Acid Detergent. Proklenz TWO Detergent has received the following EPA disinfectant claims on washable, hard, nonporous surfaces in the presence of 5% organic soil (serum):

• Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 6538) in 10 minutes at or above 60 °C.
• Pseudomonas aeruginosa (ATCC 15442) in 10 minutes at or above 60 °C.

This new label claim is the result of extensive testing and development. In conjunction with the new disinfection claims, the product’s name will be modified to ProKlenz TWO Acid Cleaner and Disinfectant. ProKlenz TWO Acid Cleaner and Disinfectant is available in the United States beginning in June 2020.
