STERIS Receives 2022 Pharma Innovation Award for Purefit™ Sterilization Bags and Covers

STERIS announced today it has been named a recipient of the 2022 Pharma Innovation Awards from Pharma Manufacturing for its Purefit™ sterilization bags and covers.

Purefit sterilization bags and covers are designed to protect filling needles, stopper bowls and other items from contamination. STERIS collaborated with DuPont to develop a new grade of uncoated, flexible Tyvek® material optimized for pharmaceutical manufacturing steam sterilization. Purefit sterilization wrapping, constructed from this new grade of Tyvek® material, mitigates the risk of residue and provides quality assurance.
